These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and the bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and related services provided by Kivi Accounting Services Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services

We provide bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll, HST/GST filing, and related support. We are a bookkeeping and tax-preparation firm and are not a licensed public accounting (CPA) firm; we do not provide audit, review, or other assurance engagements. Any financial statements we prepare are for your internal management and tax-filing use and carry no assurance. The specific scope, deliverables, and fees for your engagement will be set out in a separate engagement letter or agreement, which takes precedence over these Terms where they conflict.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information and documentation necessary for us to perform our services. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for reviewing and approving filings before submission.

Fees & Payment

Fees for our services are described in your engagement letter or quote. Invoices are due as specified therein. We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts that are past due.

Confidentiality

We treat your financial and personal information as confidential and handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You agree to keep any proprietary materials we share confidential as well.

Professional Standards & No Guarantee

We perform our services with reasonable professional care and skill. However, we do not guarantee any particular financial or tax outcome, and our services do not constitute legal, investment, or other financial advice outside the scope of your engagement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to our services shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the specific services giving rise to the claim, as further described in your engagement letter. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for penalties or interest arising from inaccurate or incomplete information you provided or from missed deadlines caused by delays on your side. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Term & Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement in accordance with the engagement letter or with reasonable notice. You remain responsible for fees for services rendered up to the date of termination.

Website & Intellectual Property

The content on this website is owned by or licensed to Kivi Accounting Services Inc. and is provided for general information only. It does not constitute advice, may change without notice, and is provided on an "as is" basis.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
